Share2Inform Educational Services/Patient Advocacy Program
From knowledge comes power. Education is germane to the vitality of W2WBCF. It is imperative to assist all to appreciate the value of breast health education and awareness. Born out of this need is our next program service Share2Inform.
The average breast lump found by accident is about the size of a golf ball. Detecting lumps while they are small increases the chances of survival up to 98%. Share2Inform builds on the knowledge people already have. Our goal is to increase their knowledge through this enhanced breast health course.
Through diverse partnerships we educate the public, striving toward W2WBCF goal to be recognized as a leading source of current and accurate breast health information.
The goal of Share2Inform is help women/men to establish a healthy view of breast health care and share the information learned with all in their families, their friends and others. Through Share2Inform we conduct educational seminars and workgroups in the following areas:
- Lunch and Learns – Trained Team members of W2WBCF conduct these seminars with companies, organizations etc. while providing lunch.
- Outreach initiatives – Seminars conducted in Community Centers, Churches, and Schools etc.
- Health Fairs
- Field trips to W2WBCF Facilities and partner facilities
- PSA’s (Public Service Announcements)
Any groups wishing to benefit from Share2Inform must fill out an application. The application includes, time, place, the number of people lunch will be provided for.
